The mission of National A Better Chance rests on a single goal: to substantially increase the number of well-educated minority youth capable of assuming positions of responsibility and leadership in American society.
Simsbury A Better Chance is one of 29 public school ABC programs located throughout the country.

 Each student is matched with a
Simsbury host family during his stay
in Simsbury. These families each
have a son the same age as the ABC
student. Host families commit to
welcoming the young men into their
homes and lives for one weekend and
one evening each month. Through the
host family, each student has a
"home away from home" and another
chance to be part of the Simsbury
community. Many students form
important, life-long relationships
with their host families. |
