The mission of the national ABC rests on a single goal: to substantially increase the number of well-educated minority youth capable of assuming positions of responsibility and leadership in American society.
Simsbury ABC is one of 28 public school ABC programs in the country.

Simsbury ABC exists because of the many
individuals and organizations
who so generously support the program. The
Simsbury community has welcomed
and supported ABC students since
the program opened in 1973.
There are many ways you can
be a part of this tradition:
- Send a tax-deductable
donation to: Simsbury ABC Program,
Inc. P.O. Box 542, Simsbury,
CT 06070
- Respond to the annual
mail solicitation in
September or the phonathon
in October - November.
- Encourage your religious or
civic organizations to
consider Simsbury ABC as
they plan their charitable
giving.
- Consider becoming a
Board member. If you have a
little time and energy to
commit on a regular basis,
the rewards will repay you
many times over. For more
information, please contact
Alyssa Cunningham, President, at (860) 550-0797.
- Consider becoming a host
family. If you have a son
entering 9th grade at
Simsbury High School and you would
like more information about
this part of the program,
call Mary Porter Wright,
Host Family Chair, at
(860) 658-7409.
- Consider volunteering
your time or services. To learn about the many ways you can get involved, contact Dennice Schenk, Volunteer Coordinator, at (860) 217-1399.
